How to Build a Prosperity Mindset

How to Build a Prosperity Mindset?

There are many people who believe that wealth and financial freedom comes only through accidents of birth or by being in the right place at the right time with the right business idea and then being lucky enough to be able to successfully see that business idea through to fruition.

With regard to gaining wealth and financial security there often does seem to be an element of what some would describe as “luck” involved in the process, but that kind of “luck” rarely happens to people who have convinced themselves that wealth and financial independence is something that is attainable only by a lucky few.

By allowing this tendency to negative thinking to dominate their thoughts about wealth and money creation, they are effectively cutting themselves off from the incredible potential that is available through the power of positive thinking.

Many eyes glaze over when their attention is drawn to references about positive thinking in relation to wealth and money creation, but the bottom line and well acknowledged truth is that if you think negatively you will attract negativity, and if you think positively you will attract success.

However, training your mind to consistently think positively about money on a deeper – subconscious – level is, while not difficult, something that requires a degree of persistence and conviction.

Almost everyone is aware of the existence of what is called the subconscious mind, but true awareness of the extent of the abilities and potential latent within it, and of how to tap into these latent powers and channel them towards the successful fulfillment of goals is, for the moment, limited to a minority.

Many people may find it difficult to make the connection between wealth creation and the subconscious mind, but that connection most certainly exists.

Your subconscious mind controls and directs all aspects of bodily function and repair and has also recorded every single detail of every single moment and incident that has occurred in your entire life, along with the emotions and thoughts that were experienced during these moments and incidents. However the most astounding aspect of the subconscious mind relates to the fact that it represents a microcosm of the universe itself, and consequently contains or has access to all of the power, wisdom, knowledge and potential of the universe.

While your subconscious is all powerful it is nevertheless guided and influenced by the nature and quality of your habitual conscious thoughts.

If your conscious mind habitually thinks that serious money is almost impossible to come by, that wealth is somehow wrong and that hardship is the order of the day, your subconscious will react accordingly and both create and attract hardship and financial difficulty into the reality of your life.

However if your conscious mind is habitually imprinting positive thoughts about yourself, money and success into your subconscious, then your subconscious will create and attract money and success into your life.

Your subconscious mind doesn’t “care” whether you fail or succeed, what it does is react to the thought energy that it receives from your conscious mind – the “helmsman of your destiny” – and create and attract the conditions and influences relevant to that thought energy, whether it be negative or positive. In other words, the nature of your consciousness creates your own reality and your own universe.

This – broadly speaking – is why positive minded people tend to be more “lucky” than negative minded people. However, by training your conscious mind to consistently send positive thought energy to the subconscious, you can do a lot more than get a bit lucky now and then.

This can be done by embarking on and sticking to a programme of relaxation, visualization and positive suggestion.

When you relax, you open up the pathway to the subconscious, making it more receptive to and accepting of the positive visualization and suggestions you are sending to it from your conscious mind. In due course – and sometimes almost immediately – the subconscious then begins to create and attract the conditions and influences represented by the visualization and suggestions.

Do you want robust health? Do you want to find a loving and fulfilling relationship? Or do you want money and financial freedom? Use relaxation, visualization and positive suggestion to impress your desire onto your subconscious and it will, sooner or later and one way or another, ensure that you get it.

Spend 5-10 minutes twice every day relaxing, both mentally and physically, and close your eyes and visualize yourself as living a wealthy and carefree lifestyle, or perhaps simply visualize a certain sum of money, maybe in the form of a bank statement with your name on it, and feel within yourself what it would feel like to have this money in your life now, already.

Combine this with the use of an affirmation along the lines of “I attract wealth and financial freedom” or perhaps be more specific and affirm “I choose to bring $xxxxxx into my life” or alternatively formulate your own affirmation which feels just right for you. Set aside a time once or twice a day to repeat the affirmation to yourself, silently or aloud, around 30 times all the while maintaining your visualization of your goal. Do this with feeling and imagination.

Also use your affirmation at other times throughout the day, mentally or verbally, whatever is appropriate at the time, and especially if and whenever you find yourself experiencing doubts about your ability to make financial freedom a reality in your life.

When you’re using your affirmation in this more spontaneous and unplanned way the repetition of it is actually more important than belief itself, because with repetition the content works through to the subconscious anyway. However, as said before, during your “planned” affirming session(s) do it with belief and imagination, feeling that you’ve already achieved your goal.

The only “rules” regarding affirmations are that they are framed in positive language. For example you wouldn’t affirm “I’m not poor anymore” because the subconscious wouldn’t pick up on the “not” but would only focus on “poor”. Also that your affirmation is short and to the point and if possible rhythmic.

If you make a point of doing this every day for a few weeks, you will start to notice interesting, creative and exciting new ideas about money creation that would never have previously occurred to you coming into your mind, confirming the truth that we are constantly surrounded by money and wealth creating opportunities irrespective of the general financial situation. These are the “signposts” that your subconscious will guide you along toward the fulfillment of your goal, while simultaneously attracting to you people, conditions and influences, often in the form of what may seem to be strange or highly unlikely “coincidences” that will occur, that will also ease and quicken your path to financial freedom.

Bear in mind that limiting beliefs can’t be changed overnight so you must be prepared to be persistent with this and stick doggedly to your program for however many weeks or months it takes until you start to get tangible results. Also bear in mind that you must be ready to act on the wealth creating insights, ideas and opportunities that your intuition – through your subconscious mind – will eventually begin to supply you with.
